The Mat Kitchen ("we", "us", "our") delivers fresh postpartum meals across Melbourne through our website, www.thematkitchen.com.au. We know that ordering from us often happens at a tender and personal time, and we treat the information you share with us with the same care we put into your meals.

Dietary requirements, allergies, or preferences you share with us so we can prepare your meals safely — we treat this information with particular care and use it only to prepare and deliver your order
Gift card details — if you purchase a gift card for someone else, we collect the recipient's name and email address in order to deliver it, and we use their details only for that purpose
Anything you include when you contact us by email, phone, or social media

Payment information: payments are processed securely by our payment providers through Shopify (such as Shopify Payments). We do not see or store your full card details.

Information collected automatically: like most websites, our store (hosted on Shopify) collects certain technical information when you visit — device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and how you interact with the site — using cookies and similar technologies. This helps the site function (for example, keeping items in your cart) and helps us understand how the site is used.

Each of these providers is only given what they need for their role.

Overseas storage

Our website and store data are hosted by Shopify, whose servers are located overseas (including in the United States and Canada). This means your personal information may be stored and processed outside Australia.
